Breakfast – 7:50am
4 eggs (One egg had two yolks in it!) with a lot of olive oil.
1 apple

Lunch - 12:30am
2 Salmon fillets
Asparagus with olive oil

random nuts


Dinner -5:40pm-midnight
1 whiskey sour
about 6 or 7 beers
Nachos
Macaroni salad
Veal Parmigiano with Pasta (Talk about a cheat)!

1 turkey breast
Broccoli with Olive oil


Random handfuls of nuts throughout the day

Dinner – 6:30pm
5 or 6 or 7 slices of prosciutto
Two big salads with tomato, iceberg lettuce, and way too much dressing
Some dark chocolate chips from the Bulk Barn (no sugar added),
(If this counts as a cheat meal, then it is pretty pathetic)

Some nuts (like one handful)

Rehearsal with the Band – 9:00-11:30pm
1 sugar free red bull
3 beers
Two cigarettes

FORGOT LUNCH AT HOME TODAY, TRIED IN VAIN TO EAT SOMETHING HEALTHY THAT WASN'T EXPENSIVE.
two stuffed peppers (mostly rice, not so much meat)
Greek salada (at least the portion was small)

ate random smal hanfuls of nuts t/o the day

Dinner - 8:15pm
nice piece of turkey breast
4 asparagus stalks
some mixed spinach and pepper with a smidgeon of olive oil.
1 small avocado

Breakfast 8:10am

1 orange
4 eggs with a shitload of olive oil

Lunch - 12:30pm
1 turkey thigh piece
some beet salad (its a polish thing)
a very small, very good portion of potato salad
some extra broccoli with olive oil for kicks.

Dinner- 8:00pm
One big ass steak
some brussels sprouts (the most disgusting vegetable)
Some nuts
finished Ursula's soup.
Some dark chocalate (not paleo but me no care).

Sunday June 7-Unplanned off day?

Although this is my "Paleo Challenge" there was nothing challenging about today as I basically just ate what was in front of me. Only my dinner represented anything paleo-friendly. Rather than be upset with myself, I am just gonna get back on the horse and start over on Monday. I will need to plan before I go see the 'nlaws again that is for sure.

Breakfast – 10am
2 BLT sandwiches

Lunch – around 2pm
A few Mortadella Slices

Dinner – 4:45pm
Homemade Beet Salad
Homemade Potato Salad
Turkey Thigh

Late Dinner – 12:15am
A Shawarma that was extra stuffed with meat because they were closing and the guy wanted to be nice to me.

Saturday June 6

Spending the weekend at my 'Nlaws presented a very real challenge for me. This will be more apparent in Sunday's Post


Breakfast – 10:30 am
1 small banana
Bacon – real bacon from butcher out in the country – nothing like the store bought crap
2 eggs
Sliced Tomatoes and Avocado

Lunch – between 1 and 5pm
Slices of Ham and Mortadella with some mayo at different points whenever I felt hungry
1.5 Beers

Dinner – around 6 or 7pm

2 skewers of chicken kabobs wrapped in bacon (see above comment on bacon)
½ a porkchop
Grilled vegetables – zucchini, onion, eggplant

Party Time – between 8pm 1am
BEER – 3 or 4 (I don’t remember)
2 glasses of wine
3 pieces of Chocolate Cake
1 Red Bull

Late is better than never

Breakfast - 8am

2 chciekn burgers (consists of ground chicken meat formed into burgers by my lovely wife)
1 orange
6 almonds

Lunch - 12:30pm
WENT TO RED LOBSTER WITH WORK TEAM - OH WHAT WILL I DO!
One skewer of shrimp (cooked with garlic and butter)
One skewer of scallops (same)
One small lobster tail delightfully dipped in butter.
3 forkfuls of rice
Perrier sparkling water to drink


Dinner #1 -6pm
One chicken breast with a little ketchup
Tomato and cucmber salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar
One Avocado

Dinner # 2 - 9:30pm - 11pm
One beer - father in law had it waiting for me as I stepped into the house, poured and everything - couldn't say no.

Some homemade sausage
Some extra lean ham -not exactly paleo but what the fuck! I was fucking hungry. Very frustrated at that time.

w2.5 glasses of red wine.

Felt good cause I wasn't drunk when I went to sleep.

CHEATERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The day started grand....

Breakfast - 7:30 am
1 carton (350 g) of egg whites
1 orange
1 tblspn olive oil
7 almonds


Lunch - 12:30
1 turkey breast about 5 oz.
2-2.5 blocks of broccoli with 1 tblspn olive oil
10 almonds.


I estimate about 15-20 almonds between 2pm and 5pm as I was nervous and reached for the closest food available....

8pm - CHEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A gentlemen never kisses and tells you know, but.................
I was meeting some friends from school and had this planned for over a week.
That said, this is my first of two allowed cheat meals for the week ending June 6, 2009 (Sunday is the last day of the week, I don't care what anyone says).

As proof of my commitment, I hereby SCHEDULE my next cheat meal to be the eve of Saturday June 6.

Dinner – 9:55 pm (holy shit I’m Hungry)

10 strawberries
10 olives
2 lamb chops ( I was starving, fuck portion control)

Pizza is paleo, correct?

Extra marks for me for NOT going to Pizza Nova after work despite my mind and body telling me otherwise. Couldn't make it to the gym because of a dead car battery - if there is any good enough excuse, there you have it. Gonna take advantage and hit the sack early tonight. Lights out Bitch!

7:30 am Breakfast:
1 carton (350 g) of egg whites with 1 tblspn of olive oil
1 orange
about 6 almonds-roasted, unsalted
a coffee (about 500 ml worth with some skim milk from steroid-injected over-worked cows)
1 L of water.....as you can imagine I was pissing all morning.

Snack at 11:10am - 7 almonds -that sucked.

Lunch at 12:45 pm
5 0z of skinless/boneless chicken breast
Some broccoli - it was about 2 -2.5 blocks worth
One tblspn olive oil on the broccoli
about 6 almonds


Snack 3pm - about 8 almonds.....

Dinner - 7:00
A big ass steak
1/2 a field cucumber and 4 roma tomoatoes
3 tblspn olive oil and 3 tblspn balsamic vinegar

Captain pumperdick's difficult lose weight program!

Sunday May 31,

On the eve of starting a new job tomorrow, I have finally run out of excuses...I have decided to get my diet in order and undergo my own personal paleo challenge. My love for inhaling vast amounts of food is insatiable. But I believe if I can stick with this long enough to see some real changes in my body composition and my times/scores at the gym, then I may be able to do this for good.

I'm not really sure about how to go about this, but I know all the rules of Zone/Paleo inside out. To quote the old hockey metaphor, I'll take this 'one day at a time.'

I'll be taking my measurements tomorrow and posting my meals from then on in.
I am giving myself 2 cheats meals a week. Usually Saturday's mix of food and booze is a hormonal disaster, so maybe I'll just declare Saturday eve to Sunday morning as my cheat time. Sort of like the Sabbath, but with debauchery. Hell, I've never done this before so who knows...

I know Ursula will be watching me very closely. Hopefully some of my CFTO buds check in from time to time.


Wish me luck (I hope this doesn't suck TOTAL ASS).
